Low Voltage Landscape Lighting in North Texas
Low-voltage LED lighting that holds up in Texas weather.
Efficient, safe, long-lasting low-voltage systems for homes across North Texas. Quality fixtures, warm light, and clean installations.
Low Voltage LED Systems
Safer, more efficient, and built to last.
Almost every landscape lighting system we install is low-voltage. It's safer around kids and pets, it uses a fraction of the power of line-voltage systems, and it holds up well when it's built right.
A quality low-voltage system starts with a properly-sized transformer, runs the right gauge of buried cable, uses waterproof connectors at every splice, and finishes with dependable fixtures and warm light. Skip any of those steps and the system ends up dim and unreliable.
K Legacy Lighting installs low-voltage landscape lighting systems designed to hold up over time. We size the transformer with headroom, run clean cable, and select fixtures that stand up to Texas heat and storms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions.
- What's the difference between low-voltage and line-voltage landscape lighting?
- Line-voltage is 120V, same as your house wiring. Low-voltage runs through a transformer that steps the power down to 12V. Low-voltage is safer, more efficient, and easier to service. We use low-voltage on almost every job.
- How long do LED landscape lights last?
- It depends on the fixtures and how many hours per night the system runs. Quality LED lighting in a properly-designed low-voltage system is built for long-term outdoor use.
- Are low-voltage systems safe around kids and pets?
- Yes. 12V systems don't carry the shock risk of 120V line-voltage systems, and the buried cable is designed for direct burial contact with soil.
- Can I add lights to my system later?
- Often yes, if the transformer was sized with headroom. That's why we don't max out the transformer on day one.
- What comes with a new system?
- We explain the materials and coverage that apply to your system before installation begins.
- Do you convert older halogen systems to LED?
- Yes. Halogen-to-LED conversions cut energy use and typically brighten up the whole yard. See our landscape lighting repair page for more.
